Since 1999, 5 monitoring wells have been installed and
have been monitored. Soil vapor extraction operated for 9,058 hours removed 2,666 pounds of
TPHg. According to data available in GeoTracker, there is five California Department of Public
Health (CDPH) regulated Public Supply Wells within '/2 mile of the site. The nearest well is 685
feet southeast from the Site. To date, $440,055 in corrective action costs have been
reimbursed by the Fund. Attachments 1 and 2 provide the technical data to support our
recommendation.
Recommendation
Source area monitoring well MW-1 has historically had low concentrations of residual
hydrocarbons in groundwater. However, after 12 years of monitoring, the source area
groundwater concentrations have decreased in concentration. Analytical data indicate that
WQOs have nearly been achieved in all site wells. Based on facts in the record and hydrologic
and geologic conditions at the site, the limited residual petroleum hydrocarbons that remain in
soil and groundwater pose little risk to human health, safety and the environment. The Fund
recommends that the County review this site for closure.
d
Kik Larson, P.G. Date Robert Trommer, C.H.G.
