ATC Associates Inc.
(:
VYJRTC
1117 Lone Palm Avenue, Suite B
Modesto,California 95351
209-579-2221
A s s o c i A l e s I N C . fax: 209-579-2225
Deep-Screened MonitorinE Wells
In August 2005, deep screened monitoring wells MW4 and MW5 were installed at the site.
During the first two monitoring events, the groundwater samples collected from well MW5
contained detectable concentrations of TPHg, benzene, toluene, total xylenes, and/or 1,2-DCA.
Subsequent monitoring events have indicated that these constituents have decreased to
nondetectable concentrations. ATC concurs with EHD that a third monitoring well screened in
the deeper zone is not justified at this time. ATC recommends continued monitoring of these
wells of a quarterly basis.
Report Preparation
Upon completion of the well installation activities and vapor extraction events, a summary report
will be prepared for submittal to the EHD. The report will include a description of all field
activities, laboratory analytical results, and boring logs. Additionally, the report will include an
the evaluation of the feasibility of vapor extraction and recommendations for future activities.
All work described in this workplan will be performed under the direction of a California
Registered Professional Engineer or Geologist. All work will be performed in accordance with
ATC's Site Safety Plan (SSP) and Quality Control/Quality Assurance Plan on file with the EHD.
Proiected Schedule
Once approval of this workplan has been received, ATC will schedule drilling activities. ATC
will notify the EHD at least 48 hours prior to beginning any field activities. The summary report
will be submitted to EHD approximately six weeks after the completion of field activities.
s:\14885\workp1ans\wkp1n 11-20-06.doc 6
