Groundwater Analytical Results
The chemical analytical results of groundwater samples obtained from monitor wells at the Site on
February 28, 1996, are summarized in Table 2 Chemical analytical results indicated concentrations
of TPHg in MW-1 (10,000 ppb), MW-2 (340 ppb), MW-3 (2,400 ppb), and MW-4 (170 ppb)
Benzene concentrations ranged from 10 ppb (MW-4) to 600 ppb (MW-1) Toluene concentrations
ranged from 2,900 ppb (MW-1) to less than detectable levels (ND<0 5 ppb) (MW-4) Ethylbenzene
concentrations ranged from 3 6 ppb (MW-1) to 440 ppb (MW-1) Concentrations of xylenes ranged
from 0 5 ppb (MW-4) to 1,900 (MW-4) In general, chemical analytical results indicate
concentrations are the highest in the vicinity of monitor wells MW-1 and MW-3 (Figure 2).
Attachment II contains photocopies of the laboratory analytical reports and the chain-of-custody form
Purgewater
Laboratory analytical results for purged groundwater were reported non-detect for TPHg and BTEX
Purgewater generated from the groundwater monitor wells is currently stored onsite in 55-gallon
drums and will be disposed of on-site with approval from the San Joaquin County Public Health
Services (SJCPHS). Attachment II contains photocopies of the laboratory analytical reports and
chain-of-custody forms
FORTHCOMING ACTIVITIES
During the second quarter of 1996, SECOR will conduct additional well monitoring, purging, and
sampling activities The results of these activities will be summarized in a quarterly monitoring report
to be submitted to you in July 1996. A Work Plan for additional assessment activities at the Site has
been approved by the SJCPHS. Fieldwork to advance and sample the proposed borings and monitor
well installation will commence upon approval and receipt of necessary permits for soil boring
advancement Permit applications to advance the soil borings will be submitted under separate cover to
the SJCPHS
This report presents our understanding of existing conditions at the subject Site The conclusions
contained herein are based on the analytical results and professional Judgment which are in accordance
with current standards of professional practice, no other warranty is expressed or implied SECOR
assumes no liability for exploratory borings or data reported by other consultants or contractors
Sincerely, p Gin,
SECOR international Incorporated g BQ G
Nam
Todd J Brown John E Bower, R G
Staff Geologist Senior Geologist 9 OFC
TJB/JEB: tb
Attachments
• cc.
