i W4
i
July 16, 1987 AGS Job No. 87048-1 €i
Beacon Station #675 - Lockeford, CA ,'
The relatively low levels of dissolved hydrocarbon contamination I_
present in the soil and
ground water could be considered _
consistant with levels of contamination introduced from minorif
product spills (routine customer useage) around the dispenser
area, that are flushed into the dry wells. ?
z
RECOMMENDATIONS
We recommend that the two dry wells adjacent to Highway 88 be
destroyed and that the water in the monitoring wells be sampled
and analyzed quarterly for dissolved hydrocarbon contamination; i
and that an evaluation of _the ground water usage, and background
quality, in the vicin_ty of -the site should be performed.
If ground water.useage warrants, or if groundwater monitoring
indicates continuing or increasing introduction of hydrocarbon
contamination into the ground water, the extent of ground water
contamination should be further investigated by conducting either
soil vaporprobe analyses in the vicinity of the contamination
plume, and/or by excavating two or more selectively located
boreholet and installing additional ground water monitoring
wells. We also recommend that a copy of this report be sent to
N1r. Gorden Boggs of the California Regional Water Quality Control
Board, Central Valley Region, 3443 Routier Road, Sacramento, CA. ,
95827-3098.
