`. .000
L
Noise
Teichert Aggregates' equipment is equipped with noise attenuation devices consistent with the
r
industry. Noise will be further reduced due to the pit operations being below grade of
surrounding property. Attached is a noise analysis report prepared by Brown Bunton (see
r.
Appendix D).
r
Assessment of Effect to Other Mining Operations
This project will have no adverse effect on mining operations in the area. In fact, mining of
` this site will allow further utilization of a well established processing plant. Reclamation of
the site to agricultural use is consistent with the existing and proposed General Plan and
` compatible with mining operations.
Contaminants
The only potential source of contamination of the site would be from a spill during refueling
of the equipment. However, Teichert Aggregates follows industry standards for the safe
handling of materials and this has not been a problem with other operations.
Statement of Responsibility
A statement is attached accepting responsibility for reclamation of the mined lands in
accordance with the plan and text submitted (see Appendix Q.
Conclusion
Teichert respectfully submits this sand and gravel excavation application, which is in
compliance with the County's ordinance. If further information, tours, and meetings are
warranted, we will be happy to assist.
.. 6 MS0464-B
