MACARTHUR DRIVE, TRACY <br /> ----------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> PROJECT DESCRIPTION: <br /> The property is located south of Linne Road on the east site of <br /> MacArthur Drive just south of the existing Rose Pit. The <br /> application is for a surface mining permit to excavate sand and <br /> gravel. The excavation will take place on approximately 147 of <br /> the 157 acre site, in two phases, over a six year period. It is <br /> estimated that 7 , 600, 000 cubic yards of sand and gravel will be <br /> excavated from the site during this period. The depth of <br /> excavation ranges from 31 to 62 feet in depth from the existing <br /> ground surface. Groundwater is at a depth of approximately 88 <br /> feet below the existing ground service. The site is known the <br /> Traina property. The property has a General Plan designation of <br /> Open Space/Resource Conservation (OS/RC) and is zoned <br /> Agricultural 40-acre minimum parcel size (AG-40) . <br /> From the PROPOSED MINING AND RECLAMATION PLAN prepared for <br /> Teichert Aggregates by Sierra Engineering Services and the all <br /> AGGREGATE MINING APPLICATION AND RECLAMATION PLAN prepared and <br /> submitted by Teichert Aggregates an Initial Study was prepared <br /> and a Declaration was posted. From the information submitted <br /> there are, however, several issues and details that need further <br /> clarification, as follows: <br />
