CERTIFICATION OF THE FINAL EIR Based upon a preliminary determination that the project had the potential to result In potentially.significant, adverse environmental impacts, an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) was prepared for the project by the San Joaquin County Community Development DepaMnent, under contract to the project applicants. The EIR addressed the hollowing issues: land use/planning policy, vegeta ion and wildlife resources, trail icirculaion, geology/geotechnical, water resources, noise, aur quality, public services, cultural resources,vrfsuaVaesthetfes, and public health and safety. No signficant, unavoidable, adverse impacts were identified in the Final EIR Hearings on the Draft EIR were heli for the public and the Planning Commission on October 27, 1993, and November 4, 1993, respectively. No comments on the Draft EIR were made at either of these hearings, Alt oral and written comments received during the 45-day review period for the Draft EIR have been responded to and included in the Final EIR Where necessary, the text of the draft document has been amended as a result of the public review process. Final EIR's were distributed to the Planning Commission on December 6, 1993, with copies andlor notices of availability to interested persons, 1 organizations, and local agencies also mailed on December 6, 1993.
