L
LNovember 15,2004
NOA Project Number: E04123A
3.3 Current On-Site Sources of Contamination
L
No above-or below-ground on-site potential or known sources of contamination were identified from
Lcurrent uses of the site, except for the following:
• An above-ground fuel storage tank was observed near the house.
LBecause of current agricultural use, the potential exists for petroleum and chemical
contamination from vehicle maintenance and fueling,as well as chemical mixing, storage, and
Lapplication.
• An industrial drum was observed in the center of the property containing unknown liquid.
LAn industrial drum, possibly a fuel dispenser, was observed behind the barn.
L Empty, open, herbicide and pesticide containers were observed near the greenhouse, indicating
agricultural chemical use.
3.4 Past Off-Site Potential Sources of Contamination
L
No above-or below-ground potential or known sources of contamination to the subject property were
identified from past uses of surrounding properties, except for the following.
L
• A chium-G contamination plume has bidentified in the groundwater of the area. .0
4 romcontambeen
3.5 Current Off-Site Sources of Contamination
No above-or below-ground potential or known sources of contamination to the subject property were
L identified from current uses of the surrounding properties, except for the following:
L Spilled machine oil and open chemical containers were observed inside a barn adjacent to the
subject property to the west. ( J `
• An open bucket of machine oil was observed against the eastern wall of the bam adjacent to the
L subject property to the west.
L 4.0 EVALUATION OF IDENTIFIED CONTAMINATION SOURCES
The potential for lead-based paints or asbestos-containing materials to be present on the property was
Lnot fully evaluated because the interiors of the residential areas were not inspected.
L
9
L "044
1
6
