Free
groundwater measured at 10 fret prior to test pit backfill.
TPS 0-0.5 Debris at Surface included a cat tire rim, organic debris and wood.
0.5 - 2 Silty SAND (SM), light brown, loose, dry.
Bottom at 2 feet.
No free groundwater encountered,
TP-6 0— 8 Silty SAND (SM), light brown, medium dense, dry, with roots.
8 — 13 Silty SAND (SM),mottled roddish brown and gay and then gray
wirh depth, medium dense, moist to wet, test pit sidrwalls cave into
excavation.
Bottom at 13 feet.
Free groundwater encountered at 13 feet at titre of excavation.
TP-7 0- 5 FILL—Buried Debris in Silty SAND(SM)matrix. Debris included
a water beater tank, metal piping from 2 to 4 inches in diameter,
concrete rubble , Styrofoam, glass bottles, metal scrap, ceramics and
a broken tool. Large roots from the adjacent tree were observed at
the bottom of the debris. From observation of the drop in surface
elevation of approximately 2 to 3 feet to the south of the debris pile,
it appeared that a 2 to 3 foot hole was excavated for the water heater
and other debris and then covered with the excavated material.
6008.5.001.02
September 12, 2003 3
