1 <br /> 1 <br /> 5.2 Description of soil profile pit including depth and dimensions. The shallow test holes <br /> ' were prepared per County Standards. The holes were excavated to a depth of 42 inches and <br /> 8 inches in diameter. The holes were backfilled with 2 inches of"pea gravel'. <br /> ' 5.3 Description of soil lithology as noted from test pit by appropriate professional using <br /> industry standard protocol. The Soil in this area is classified as Kingdon Fine Sandy Loam <br /> and as stated in the Soil Survey of San Joaquin County, as provided by the United States <br /> ' Department of Agriculture, Soil Conservation Service. <br /> 5.4 Discussion of soil lithology as related to future onsite septic uses: The <br /> ' Kingdon Fine Sandy Loam has a permeability that is moderate. <br /> 6.0 PERCOLATION TEST INFORMATION SECTION <br /> 1 6.1 Site map showing the location,with concise and accurate dimensions of the percolation <br /> test holes on the parcel: See Appendix. <br /> ' 6.2 The minimum number of shallow and deep percolation tests were performed for each <br /> parcel: Two shallow percolation test holes were prepared on the proposed parcels. <br /> ' 6.3 Description of the date,time and protocol used to prepare the test hole,including <br /> depth and dimensions of hole, preparation of hole, and depth of water used presoak <br /> ' (minimum 12 inches): The shallow test holes were excavated to a depth of 42 inches and 8 inches <br /> in diameter and backfilled with 2 inches of "pea gravel' in accordance with County Standards. <br /> The shallow holes were prepared by Mike Toy of r &Murphy on February 22, 2018 at 7:30 <br /> ' a.m. On Fe ,2018 at 7:30 a.m.�I e 24 hours soak period was started. The holes were <br /> filled wi 12 inches f-water over the gr time. <br /> ' 6.4 Description of the date,time and condition of the test hole after the 24-hour soak period <br /> (hole still intact,hole dry,preparation of hole,and depth of water used to presoak(minimum <br /> ' 12 inches): On February 23, 2018 at 7:30 a.m., the 2 shallow test holes were dry. Six inches of <br /> water were added to the holes and the holes were deemed suitable to continue. The shallow test <br /> passed the minimum County requirements. <br /> t 6.5 The test conformed to SJC Policy EH 02-02(correct depth,diameter,2" gravel,6" water <br /> refill,correct readings recorded). The percolation tests conformed to San Joaquin County Policy <br /> ' EHD 02-02. <br /> 6.6 Complete Percolation Test Form (including readings) was provided with REHS <br /> ' verification signature. The rate was correctly calculated using the last reading. See Appendix <br /> for Test Results Form. <br /> ' 3 <br />
