Staff will;advise.yeu as to which parts.of the application must be` <br /> submitted riot to the Prea Ilcatlon Conference. <br /> STEP 3 SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION When you apply,file all of the following: <br /> • FEE The staff will let you know the current cost of f ling an application. Make checks payable to the San <br /> Joaquin County Treasurer. <br /> FORMS Ten (10)copies of the completed application information forms(attached)which all owners/appl'rcants <br /> must sign. <br /> + MAP If a map is to be amended or added. Ten (10)copies. <br /> • SOILS SUITABILITY If the proposed method of sewage disposal is on-site,and this is permissible,submit a Soil Suitability i <br /> STUDY Study prepared to'the specifications of the Environmental Health Division. }' ° <br /> • ' TEXT CHANGE" If the text of a plan is to be amended.'Sevent(7)copies <br /> DEED e If applicable,one copy of the recorded deed(s)of the property. n f <br /> General Plan Amendment Application's require compliance with County Water Policy-see Department of Public Works <br /> STEP 4 APPLICATION PROCESSING—Staff will check your application. If anything is missing,you will be <br /> notified in writing. The applicant will be sent a postcard once the application has been determined <br /> complete. (your application cannot be processed until it is complete.) <br /> • -CEQA The County will decide if the proposal will have an adverse effect on the environment. If there are no adverse - <br /> effects,the application will be processed. If there are potential adverse effects,further environmental review <br /> will be required. Projects that have the potential to adversely affect the environment will require the <br /> preparation of an E.E.R. This may extend the processing time. <br /> • REFERRALS Staff will refer the application to any County departments,other agencies and surrounding property owners <br /> AND ACTION (for a map amendment)affected by your proposal. At the end of a review and comment period a staff report <br /> will be prepared and the Planning Commission will hold a public hearing. At the conclusion of the hearing the <br /> Commission will either refer the application to the Board of Supervisors will a favorable recommendation or <br /> deny the request. The Board of Supervisors will then hold a public hearing and take final action on your <br /> request. (Note: Planning Commission denials must be appealed in order to be heard by the Board of <br /> Supervisors.) <br /> • FINAL ACTION. The action of the Commission can be appealed to the Board of Supervisors. The Commission's action is final <br /> unless appealed. For further information on the length of the appeal period,contact the staff. <br /> STEP 5 PERMITS - <br /> • LAND USE Subdivisions and some specific land uses will require permits,which may require an additional public hearing.5 <br /> PERMITS <br /> + r <br /> • SANITATION& Projects that will utilize new on-site sanitation disposal andlor on-site wells, must get permits from the <br /> WELL PERMITS Environmental Health Division. <br /> •. BUSINESS . If the project involves ia business,a Business License must be approved prior'to starting operation. <br /> LICENSES <br /> z <br /> • BUILDING if the project involves construction,a building permit must be-approved prior to commencement of work. <br /> PERMITS , f - <br /> • OTHER Frequently other local,state and/or federal agencies will require permits prior to new uses being established <br /> PERMITS (e.g.Air Pollution Control District, Regional Water Quality Control Board or the Sheriffs Office).
