10:00 a.m. 2. USE PERMIT APPLICATION NO. UP-01-12 OF KRUGER <br /> H FOODS, INC. (C/O F R H CONSTRUCTION). A Use Permit <br /> application for a 107.500 sq. ft. building expansion of an existing <br /> pickling facility. The proposed building will consist of a 46,467 sq. ft. <br /> production area, a 53.533 sq. ft. warehouse area, and a 7,500 sq. ft. <br /> office. Located approximately 3500 feet from the south side of State <br /> Route 4 on a private casement. The easement is approximately 1200 feet <br /> west of Drais .At enue, Stockton (APN: 183-140-08: Address: 17750 E. <br /> State Route 4 Highway. Stockton). <br /> Jeff Fisher, Associate Planner. Bob Chelli. Bevers. Inc.: Charles A. Ferrell and Lori Wong, <br /> F &H Construction. Steve Dalton. Fire Prevention: Vance and Dave Kruger, Kruger Foods, Inc. <br /> and Matt Walker. Engineer were present for this item <br /> Mr. Fisher introduced the project. <br /> Mr. Martin told the applicants that the plan show's a major increase in their operation, and asked if <br /> there are am additional tanks or additional evaporation ponds. Mr. Chelli indicated that they <br /> were in the process of separating the waters within the brine area,and on the facility. Mr. Chelli <br /> informed staff that the propertc has deep well injection and indicated the well location on the <br /> plan. Mr. Chelli indicated the location of the evaporated ponds on the plan and what each pond <br /> was being used for. Mr. Chelli informed staff that there would be additional ponds, and they plan <br /> to close over the vapor ponds t\ithin a period of Lice years. Mr. Chelli indicated that there would <br /> be an increase of tanks. <br /> Mr. Martin asked Mr. Chclh if the brine«ator is injected into the ground water. Mr. Chelli <br /> indicated that the brine water is injected about 3400 feet and that the well has a capacity 5400 <br /> feet. Mr. Martin asked if the applicants rceck e a permit from Regional Water Quality Control <br /> District, Mr. Chclli stated that the Federal .Agency controls the injection well. Mr. Ferrell <br /> informed staff that when the\ pull the Building permit they will supply the Department with the <br /> permit information. <br /> Mr. Ferrell indicated that according to the information that he received that the Community <br /> Development t\otfld not be requiring fire sprinklers. Mr. Dalton informed Mr. Ferrell that it will <br /> be determined b_c the Building Code. Mr. Dalton indicated that the fire sprinklers may not be <br /> required but the building will need fire tlow. <br /> Mr. Norgard reviewed Environmental Hcalth Divisions requirements. <br /> Mr. Kamm revised the Department of Public Works memo item 2. Delete second paragraph. <br /> Mr. Fisher informed the applicants that the Community Development Department will need the <br /> Caltrans data before the initial study can be started and that may delay the Planning Commission <br /> date. Mr. Karam stuggests that the applicants contact Caltrans and see what the\ will be <br /> requiring. <br /> Mr. Ferrell asked of partial permitting of the Iuundation would be allo\\ed for this project. Mr. <br /> Fisher stated that it could be submitted for plan check only. Mr. Martin informed the applicants <br /> that partial permitting could onh be for plan check. <br />
