Pershing Ave. <br /> Stockton, CA 95203 <br /> REVIEW OF ADDENDUM,LIMITED SOIL ASSESSMENT SILVA TRUCKING YARD, 8355 S. <br /> MANTHEY ROAD, FRENCH CAMP, CALIFORNIA <br /> Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board staff(staff)has reviewed the Addendum, Limited <br /> Soil Assessment Silva Trucking Yard submitted by Kleinfelder Inc. on 9 June 2005. The report is an <br /> addendum to a previously submitted assessment of gravel at the Silva Trucking Yard on Manthey Road <br /> in Stockton. The Silva Trucking Yard is an approximately 115,000 square foot lot covered with 6 to 9 <br /> inches of gravel. Approximately 25 percent of the gravel is composed of waste tile from MonierLifetile. <br /> Previously,waste tile from MonierLifetile at a different site was classified designated waste due to <br /> soluble concentrations of TPH-diesel and hexavalent chromium. Staff commented on the original <br /> assessment of the gravel and requested that the background, parent material and soil samples should be <br /> re-analyzed for hexavalent chromium at lower detection limits. Additionally, a sample of storm water <br /> was to be analyzed for TPH-diesel and hexavalent chromium. <br /> The addendum reports on the requested additional sampling,Hexavalent chromium was not detected in <br /> the background sample,the five soil samples and from the parent material. Low concentrations of TPH- <br /> diesel were detected in one soil sample and in the parent material, the background sample and four soil <br /> samples were clean. Hexavalent chromium and TPH-diesel were not detected in the storm water sample. <br /> Based on these results staff does not believe that the gravel in the Silva Trucking Yard is a threat to <br /> groundwater or surface water quality.
