January 13, 2009 <br /> SOIL SUITABILITY/NITRATE LOADING STUDY <br /> BAIL BOND BUSINESS <br /> 33 WEST MATHEWS ROAD <br /> FRENCH CAMP, CALIFORNIA <br /> OUR PROJECT NUMBER: LGS080549 <br /> Our office was contracted by George and Edward Garcia of Bail Bond Business to conduct a Soil <br /> Suitability/Nitrate Loading Study (SS/NLS) for the property at 33 West nathews Road, French <br /> Camp, California. <br /> The formatting of this report has been designed to follow, to the greatest degree possible, the <br /> EHD's Soil Suitability Study Requirements Checklist and Nitrate Loading Study Requirements <br /> Checklist, dated July 14, 2003. <br /> 1.0 SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> 1.1 Introduction and Proposed Development <br /> The Soil Suitability Study (SSS) was conducted to determine whether the soils are suitable for <br /> use with a septic system. The study was performed according to the requirements of Section <br /> 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development code. A major element of the field work <br /> included conducting percolation tests that meet the required absorption rates as required by <br /> San Joaquin County, Public Health Services, Environmental Health Department (EHD). <br /> In addition to conducting the percolation tests, a review of published soil information, geologic <br /> maps, and ground water information was performed to evaluate the suitability of soils for use <br /> with a septic system. <br /> 1.1.1 Site Description <br /> The Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) for the Site is 193-160-26. The parcel is 0.11 acres in size <br /> (Plate 1). The County application number is PA-08-247. The Site is currently an open, vacant <br /> lot. <br /> The elevation of the Site, according to a United States Geological Survey topographic map, is <br /> between approximately 10 and 15 feet above mean sea level.
