This <br /> Exploratory well drilling is the first step in the City's project to expand their well field. To speed <br /> delivery of the project, Califia Development Group has been authorized to bid construction of the <br /> exploratory wells based upon specifications prepared by the City's consultant, Stoddard and Associates. <br /> Bob Stoddard will be the City's representative on-site during the drilling and will collect the water <br /> samples. He will transmit the samples to the lab and provide the results to the City of Lathrop. General <br /> details about the project are as follows: <br /> I. Two exploratory wells are to be drilled, both located within the County area(within the Lathrop <br /> Sphere of Influence but just outside the existing Lathrop city limits). <br /> 2. One well will be located on each of these sites: <br /> A. 3128 Yosemite Avenue(APN 241-280-12,Owner= Sugi Morimoto) <br /> B. 18389 McKinley Avenue(APN 24I-400-23, Owner=Frank Mendez) <br /> 3. A Right-of-Entry has been executed by the two property owners noted above. <br /> 4. The test wells will be drilled by Bradley and Sons under contract to Califia, per specifications <br /> prepared by Stoddard& Associates(copy attached). According to those specifications, the wells <br /> --will be abandoned in accordance with County Standards. Abandonment will include drilling all <br /> material out of the hole and pressure grouting from the bottom of the hole if desired by the <br /> County. A specific site plan has not been prepared, other than the location map provided with <br /> the permit application. <br /> 5. There is NO schedule currently set, and no contract has been awarded,to construct the complete <br /> municipal well. This is only an information gathering step in advance of determining an exact <br /> location for the next municipal wells. <br /> 6.
