The utility pad shall be located in the rear '/z of the mobilehome and not less than 1' nor more than 4' <br /> from the wall. <br /> • Size and Sequence. The utility pad shall be 3-1/2'thick concrete and surround the equipment base by not less <br /> than 6'. The sewer, electric, gas and water may be in any sequence. <br /> • Electrical and Gas Supports. The electrical panel and gas meter supply line must be supported by a 4'X 4'X 2' <br /> of treated wood,wood naturally resistant to decay or any approved pedestal assembly. <br /> • Electrical Panel. The bottom of the electric panel shall be 24' above the concrete. A disconnect is required at the <br /> pedestal if the main service is more than 50' or not in sight of the mobilehome. <br /> • Water Service. The water supply valve shall be 12' above the concrete. A hose bib with vacuum breaker and <br /> shut-off valve is required. The water line shall be pressurized at 45 p.s.i. at the pedestal. <br /> • Sewer Connection. The drain inlet must include a Calder Coupler at the sewer inlet. <br /> • Gas Meter. The gas supply shall be pressurized to 10 p.s.i. Transition fittings shall be used when connecting <br /> metal gas piping to P.V.C. Ferrous gas piping installed underground shall be protected from corrosion by <br /> approved coatings or wrappings, machine applied conforming to recognized standards. Field wrapping is <br /> restricted to short sections and fittings. Double wrapping is required. <br /> • Burying Requirements. Utilities must be buried as follows: <br /> Sewer 12' deep <br /> Rigid Gas 12' deep <br /> P.V.C. gas 18' deep <br /> Direct buried conductors 24' deep <br /> Rigid metal conduit 6' deep <br /> Rigid non-metallic conduit 18' deep <br /> OTHER INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS <br /> • Skirting. Skirting constructed of the same materials as the mobilehome shall be installed. <br /> • Additions. No permanent room additions are allowed, but patio covers or screened porches constructed of the <br /> same materials as the mobilehome are permitted. <br /> • Flood Areas. Within 100-year flood areas mobilehomes must be elevated so that the lowest habitable floor is at <br /> least 1' above the 100-year flood elevation and shall be anchored in accordance with present mobilehome tie down <br /> standards. <br /> • Preinspection Required. A preinspection will be done, prior to building permit issuance, on all mobilehomes built <br /> prior to September 15, 1971. You may request an inspection at the building department counter. The fee is <br /> $95.00. Mobilehomes built prior to 1958 will not be allowed. Mobilehomes built after 1958 without an HCD insignia <br /> will not be allowed. <br /> • Inspections Required. The mobilehome is not to be occupied until it has been inspected and approved. <br />
