PERCOLATION TEST RESULTS: <br /> ON SEPTEMBER 12 , 1995 , THE PROJECT SITE WAS TESTED TO DETERMINE THE <br /> PERCOLATION RATE. PARCELS 1 AND 2 WERE TESTED. PARCEL 2 PASSED THE <br /> PERCOLATION TEST WITH A PERCOLATION RATE OF 60 MIN/INCH FOR A DEPTH OF <br /> 3 FEET. PARCEL 1 FAILED THE TEST AT A DEPTH OF 3 FEET . ON OCTOBER 3, <br /> 1995 , PARCEL 1 WAS RETESTED AT A DEPTH OF 3 FEET . PARCEL 1 PASSED THE <br /> PERCOLATION TEST WITH A PERCOLATION RATE OF 60 MIN/INCH . IT SHOULD BE <br /> NOTED THAT THREE HOLES WHERE TESTED FOR THE RETESTED OF PARCEL 1 WITH <br /> ONLY THE ONE HOLE PASSING THE TEST. PERCOLATION TESTS WERE CONDUCTED IN <br /> ACCORDANCE WITH SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH DEPARTMENT <br /> REQUIREMENTS. <br /> COMMENTS REGARDING EXISTING SEPTIC SYSTEMS: <br /> BASED ON THE INFORMATION GIVEN ON SHEET 5 , THE EXISTING SEPTIC SYSTEMS <br /> IN THE AREA ARE FUNCTIONING WITH NO PROBLEMS EXCEPT FOR THE REPAIR OF <br /> THE SYSTEMS LOCATED ON 1560 E. METTLER ROAD. GULZARA "CHARLES" JAGIR, <br /> THE NEIGHBOR TO THE EAST OF PARCEL 1 , INSTALLED A SEPTIC TANK AND <br /> SEEPAGE PITS FOR HIS HOUSE. MR. JAGIR SAID THAT HE HAS HAD NO PROBLEMS <br /> WITH HIS SEPTIC SYSTEM SINCE IT WAS INSTALLED. THE EXISTING SEPTIC <br /> SYSTEMS IN THE AREA ARE USING A SEPTIC TANK, SEEPAGE PIT OR PITS, AND <br /> LEACH LINES. SEEPAGE PITS WITH A DEPTH OF 25 FEET WITH A DIAMETER OF <br /> NO LESS THAN 33 INCHES ARE BEING USED FOR THE EXISTING SYSTEMS. <br /> ENGINEER'S OPINION SOIL SUITABILITY: <br /> FROM THE RESULTS OBTAINED FROM THE PERCOLATION TESTS AND EXISTING <br /> PERMITS FOR THE REPAIR AND INSTALLATION OF PRIVATE DISPOSAL SYSTEMS, <br /> THE SEPTIC SYSTEMS FOR THE PROJECT SITE SHOULD CONSIST OF A 12 ,000 <br /> SQUARE FOOT LEACH FIELD AREA WITH THE APPROPRIATE SIZE SEPTIC TANK AND <br /> SEEPAGE PITS FOR PARCELS 1 AND 2 . THIS CONCLUSION FOR THE USE OF <br /> SEEPAGE PITS IS BASED ON THE FAILURE OF SEVERAL HOLES THAT WERE DUG AT <br /> A DEPTH OF 3 FEET BEFORE AN AREA COULD BE FOUND WHERE IT WOULD PASS THE <br /> PERCOLATION TEST. EACH SYSTEM SHALL BE DESIGNED FOR THE SOIL <br /> CONDITIONS IN THE AREA, AND THE SIZE OF THE FACILITY TO BE SERVED. <br /> SEEPAGE PITS SHOULD HAVE A MINIMUM DIAMETER OF 33 INCHES, AND SHALL NOT <br /> BE INSTALLED TO A DEPTH OF GREATER THAN 25 FEET <br /> THE GROUNDWATER TABLE IS LOCATED APPROXIMATELY 55 FEET BELOW THE GROUND <br /> SURFACE. THEREFORE, THE GROUNDWATER LEVEL WILL MEET THE TEN FOOT <br /> MINIMUM DISTANCE BETWEEN THE BOTTOM OF THE SEEPAGE PITS AND THE TOP OF <br /> THE GROUNDWATER TABLE. THE SEPTIC SYSTEM SHOULD NOT ADVERSELY AFFECT <br /> THE GROUND WATER TABLE. <br /> IT IS OUR PROFESSIONAL OPINION THAT THE FINDINGS INCLUDED IN THIS STUDY <br /> ARE A REPRESENTATIVE ASSESSMENT OF THE PROJECT AREA AT THE PRESENT <br /> TIME. THIS OPINION CANNOT CONSTITUTE A GUARANTEE OR WARRANTY, EITHER <br /> EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. <br /> SHEET 6 <br />
