03/14/2006 16:51 FAX JR 003/003
Ie
Our calculation is as follows.
N = .49 (1. 97 (35L —_0,25) 5 (9_8) = 25.34 +4.9 = 2.82 mg/i as N
C .49 (1.97) +9.8 0.96 .1. 9.8
CONCLUSIONS
Based on the above evaluation, we conclude that at the groundwater level, the nitrate
concentration of the wastewater produced by the maximum possible number of leach
fields allowed should not exceed the state standards.
The results of our percolation tests performed on Lots 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 14, and 15
indicate that a suitable sail percolation stratum exists at a depth of about 3.5 feet
below the existing site grade. A suitable soil condition is defined as a strata capable of
percolating water at a rate of 60 minutes per inch (min/inch) at a depth of 3.5 feet or 30
min/inch for deeper tests. A conventional septic tank/leach trench sewage disposal
system designed per SJCEHD criteria should adequately serve the proposed
residence on these lots provided the site grade on these lots does not change.
Our percolation tests performed on the remaining lots indicate that a suitable soil
percolation stratum does not exist at a depth of 3.5 feet below the existing site grade.
A suitable soil stratum was encountered in these lots at depths ranging from about 6 to
19 feet below the existing site grade. A conventional septic rank/leach trench disposal
system with seepage pits designed per SJCEHD criteria should adequately serve the
proposed residence on these lots. The depth of the seepage pits will depend upon
final site grade on these lots.
LIMITATIONS
The conclusions of this report are based on the information provided regarding the
existing and proposed development and on the site conditions. It was assumed that
the percolation test result is representative of the subsurface conditions in the general
area.
This report may be used only by the client and only for the purposes stated, within a
reasonable time from its issuance. Land use, site conditions (both on- and off-site) or
other factors may change over time, and additional work may be required. Based on
the intended use of the report, Kleinfelder may require that additional work be
performed and that an updated report be issued. Non-compliance with any of these
requirements by the client or anyone else, unless specifically agreed to in advance by
Kleinfelder in writing, will release Kleinfelder from any liability resulting from the use of
this report by any unauthorized party.
23197.0021STOOR149 Febri,mry t0,2006
Copyright 2006 Kleinfaiddq Inc.
