WSID has a 40-foot right-of-way on the western most edge of the
property at 21080 Mt. House Parkway for the operation of a 30" cast-in-place concrete pipe.
There is currently a residential driveway that crosses over this pipeline. The applicant would like
operate a landscape business from this property and it is our concern that the traffic generated by
this business and change in use, could potentially cause damage to our facilities.
We would like to request that the county require that the applicant provide a report prepared by a
structural engineer showing that the current driveway is sufficient to meet the needs of the
landscape business without causing damage to WSID's pipeline. If the cover IS NOT found to
be sufficient, WSID would like to be part of the process to approve whatever improvements the
structural engineer recommends.
It is also WSID's policy to require a hold harmless agreement when approving projects such as
this. I am following with a copy of our standard hold harmless agreement, as an example, but
you may want to have the applicant contact us directly so that an agreement that is appropriate
for their situation can be prepared.
