Live Oak reviewed the EHD's Water Well Data Table dated March 10, 2009 for nearby
addresses that have been tested for nitrate and dibromochloropropane (DBCP). Two
i nearby wells were identified at addresses located within approximately one-quarter mile
of the Site. Only one of the wells had been tested for DBCP; DBCP was detected at
0.90 parts per billion (ppb). Nitrate as NO3 was detected within these wells at
concentrations of 12 and 33 parts per million (ppm). The Maximum Contaminant Level
(MCL) set by the US EPA for nitrate as NO3 is 45 ppm; the MCL for DBCP is 0.2 ppb.
7.3 Office of Emer-gency Services Databases
The San Joaquin County Office of Emergency Services (OES) Hazardous Materials
Management Program (HMMP) Compliance Website was searched on April 19, 2010.
No records were identified for the Site addresses.
Michelle Halliwell of the OES was interviewed by telephone on May 14, 2010. She
indicated at this time that no hazardous materials incident reports are on file in the OES
database for the Site address or adjacent addresses on Clinton South Avenue and Jack
Tone Road.
7.4 Agricultural Commissioner's Records
The San Joaquin County Agricultural Commissioner's Office was contacted regarding
any agricultural use of the site. Chemical permits and use reports were identified for the
Site under the name of Van Groningen & Sons. According to these records, it appears
that the following crops were grown on the northern portion of the Site from 2005
through the present: pumpkins (2005), sweet corn (2006-2007), watermelons (2008),
corn (2009), and wheat (2010). The southern portion of the Site was an almond orchard
during this time period. No violations were reported for the Site.
The following table summarizes the products reportedly applied to the Site from 2005
through the present. The northern and southern portions of the Site are designated as
N and S.
Product Name Active Ingredient 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 .
N S N S N S N S N S N S '
Dusting Sulfur Sulfur X X X
Roundup Glyphosate, X X X X X X X X
Isopropylamine salt
Galigan Oxyfluorfen X X X X
Agri-Mek 0.5E Abamectin X X
Capture 2EC- Bifenthrin X
Cal
LOGE1009 Page 5
