ENVIRONMENTAL SITE ASSESSMENT <br /> THE PURPOSE OF THIS SI17E ASSESSMENT IS TO IDENTIFY THE PRESENCE OR <br /> LIKELY PRESENCE OF ANY HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES OR PETROLEUM <br /> PRODUCTS ON OR NEAR,ABOVE OR BELOW GROUND,OF SUBJECT PARCEL.,AND <br /> TO DOCUMENfTCONDMONS THAT-1NDICATE A PRESENT OR PAST RELEASE OF <br /> _ ANY PETROLEUM PRODUCTS OR OTHER IIAZ.ARDOUS MATERIAL.ANY SUCH <br /> RELEASE MAY OR MAY NOT HAVE BEEN IN CONPLiANCE WITH THE LAW. <br /> GUIDELINES FOR SITE ASSESSMENT ARE CONTAINED IN ASTM STANDARDS <br /> RELATING TO ENVIRONMENTAL SITE CHARACTERIZATION, 2002, 2ND EDITION <br /> Section 9-905.12 Surface and Subsurface Contamination Report. <br /> (a) Repo ft A surface and subsurface contamination report shall be required at the time of <br /> the tentative map submittal. The surface and subsurface contamination report shall be <br /> prepared by a quardled environmental professional and shall Identity any potential source <br /> of surface or subsurface coni amination caused by past or current land uses. The report <br /> shall include evaluation of non-point source of hazardous materials, including agricultural <br /> Chemical residues, as well as potential poex sources, such as fuel storage tanks, septic <br /> systems, or chemical storage areas. <br /> (b) Waiver of Reoort. The surface and subsurface contamination report may be waived it the <br /> Environmental Heath Division fords that, due to the knowledge the County possesses <br /> relative to the possible contamination of the soils in this subdivision, no preliminary <br /> analysis is necessary. <br /> (c) Corrective AcOory 9 the report andrrates there are surface and subsurface contamination, <br /> corrective action shall be taken, as recommended in the report and C300u red with by <br /> Ermworunerital Health prior to the issuance of the txrading permit- <br /> Other <br /> ermitOther than the above Title Section there are no additional published ms7ntctions or criteria by the <br /> Local Agency as to methodoloBS for preparation of this report.Unless contamination is suspect at <br /> the site, no soil or water samples are tarn_ <br />
