(SA-95-7) <br /> Dear Mr. Martin: <br /> The San Joaquin Valley Unified Air Pollution Control District (SJVUAPCD) has <br /> reviewed your refferal and offers the following comments: <br /> However, there are air quality impacts that will be associated with construction phase <br /> of this project. Projects of this type can generate emissions from the movement of <br /> soil, use of construction equipment, bulk materials handling, asphalt paving and other <br /> related activities. <br /> This project is subject to District Regulation VIII (Fugitive Dust Prohibitions). The <br /> purpose of Regulation VIII is to reduce the amount of fine particulate matter (PM10) <br /> entrained into the ambient air from man-made sources. Specifically, the Rules within <br /> Regulation VIII that may apply to your project are: Rule 8010 (Administrative <br /> Requirements), Rule 8020 (Construction, Demolition, Excavation, and Extraction <br /> Activities), Rule 8030 (Handling and Storage of Bulk Materials), Rule 8060 (Paved and <br /> Unpaved Roads) and Rule 8070 (Parking, Shipping, Receiving, Transfer, Fueling, and <br /> Service Areas). <br /> The attached Synopsis highlights many of the requirements contained within <br /> Regulation VIII. The Synopsis is not meant to be all inclusive, but it can be a useful <br /> compliance aid in the field and office alike.
