12:33 OCT 17, 2006 ID: SJVRPCD CENTRAL FAX N0: 221-4269 103084 PFGE: eie
Karla Kuhl
San Joaquin County
Community Development Dept.
1810 East Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, CA 95205
Project: PA-0600524 (ZR) —Farmington Murphy Properties
District Reference No: C200602170
Dear Ms. Kuhl:
The San Joaquin Valley Unified Air Pollution Control District (District) has reviewed the project referenced
above and offers the following comments:
The entire San Joaquin Valley Air Basin is designated non-attainment for ozone and particulate matter
(PM10 and PM2.5). A zone change, by itself, will not have an impact on air quality, however, the future
development of the property would contribute to the overall decline in air quality due to construction activities
in preparation of the site, ongoing traffic and other operational emissions. Future development will require
additional environmental study and mitigation.
District staff is available to meet with you and/or the applicant to further discuss the regulatory requirements
that are associated with this project. If you have any questions or require further information, please call
Jessica Willis at (559) 230-5818 and provide the reference number at the top of this letter.
Sincerely,
Dave Warner
Director of Permits Services
Arnaud Marjollet
Permit Services Manager
DW:jw
