SANGUINETTI & ASSOCIATES)
(APN: 063-200-04) (ADDRESS: 9849 N JACK TONE ROAD,
STOCKTON)
The applicant has submitted the above referenced Minor Subdivision pre -application to
divide one parol into two parcels using Development Title Section 9-1053.6, Creation of
Parcels for Historical Resources. Parcel 1 to contain 3.47 acres and a designated
remainder to contain 9.81 acres.
The project site is located on the west side of N. Development Department has reviewed the proposed Minor Subdivision
pre -application and offers the following comments:
Background and Creation of Parcels for Historical Resources
In 1873 the twos=story brick house was built along the road which was first referred to as
Jack Tone Lane. Jack Tone Lane was one of the first roads in the county and was
known for being the longest straight road in the county.
In December 1937, a bronze plaque set in granite was erected in front of the brick house
on Jack Tone Road honoring the memory of Jack Tone and the Audubon Party by the
Native Daughters of the Golden West, Stockton Parlor, No. 236.
Development Title Section 9-1053.6, allows for the creation of parcels less than the
minimum area required by the zone in which a historical resource is located, if the
purpose of the smaller parcel is to permit the retention, sale, or transfer of the site on
which the historical resource is located in order to attain the intent of this section.
DC MEMO - 1 - PA -1000170
