(§ 6.1) Percolation testing was conducted in the location illustrated on the Tentative Map found _
in Appendix C to encompass most of the northwest quadrant of proposed Parcel 1. This is where r
any future development has the potential to occur on this Parcel. The test locations maintain G I
sufficient distance requirements between the on-site domestic well, property lines, etc. The
following information describes the preparation of the percolation test borings and the actual
percolation testing:
(§6.2, 6.3 and 6.5) On November 10, 2010, 1400 hrs, a shallow pert test borings of 42 inches
and a deeper test boring of 105 inches (8.75 ft) were hand-drilled on proposed Parcel 1 in the vJ
northwest quadrant. The sidewalls of the shallow boring were scored with a pry-bar and the loose
material removed. Two inches of fine gravel was placed at the bottom and a three-inch perforated
PVC pipe was inserted into both test borings. Both borings were pre-saturated at 0900 hrs on
November 11, 2010 with 18 inches of clear water.
(§ 6.4) On November 12, 2010, 0800 hrs,percolation testing commenced. There was no standing
water after the 24-hour soak period in the test borings as illustrated in Table 1 below. :
Consequently, EHD Perc Test Procedure 42 was conducted for both test borings.
The last half hour of the test was witnessed by Mike Escotto, R.E.H.S. of the San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department. The maximum acceptable pert rate is 60 min/in for shallow /
pert tests, and 30 min/in for medium and deep depth pert tests.
(§5.4 and 6.8) The following Table illustrates the proposed Parcel number, septic system
structure to be installed based on the depth of the passing pert rate, proposed acreage, post soak
period status and pert test results for the respective pert test.
TABLE 1
PERCOLATION TEST RESULTS AND RELATED DATA
'4 PROPOSED PARCEL PROPOSED PERC TEST DEPTHS POST SOAK PERC TEST
POTENTIALSEP'fIC ACREAGE PERIOD RESULTS
SYSTEM STRUCTURE ATUS
Parcel 1 3.0 Net Acres 42 INCHES No SjHle
41.7 min/in
Equivalent Feet of Leacbline Water PASSING
based on number of bedrooms.
Sumps Recommended,
]OS INCHES::] No S 19.2 minlin
Water PASSING
Parcel 2 9.8 f NetAcres NO PERCOLATION TESTS NNIA
REQUIRED UNTIL THERE
DESIGNATED IS A PROPOSAL TO
REMAINDER BUILD ON THIS PARCEL.
l
I
Page -3-
Chesney Consulting
