i E g. LIGHTING: Lighting shall be provided and comply with the following: (1) If the parking area is to be used at night, parking lot and security lighting shall be installed. (Development Title Section 9-1015.5[gj) (2) Any lighting shall be designed to confine direct rays to the premises. No spillover beyond the property lines shall be permitted except onto public thoroughfares, provided, however, that such light shall not cause a hazard to motorists. (Development Title Section 9-101 5,5[g][4]) h. LANDSCAPING: Landscaping shall be provided and comply with the following: (1) All areas not used for buildings, parking, driveways, walkways, approved outdoor storage areas, or other permanent facilities shall be landscaped. (2) Areas of the property which are not part of the project shall be barricaded from traffic and kept mowed and dust free. (Development Title Section 9-1020) i. The following Uniform Fire Code and San Joaquin County Ordinance Code requirements will be applicable and shall be incorporated in the construction plans before submittal to the Community Development Department for a building permit: (1) Fire flow will be provided for proposed buildings by the use of public water mains (Appendix Ill-A of the Uniform Fire Code). (2) Fire hydrants shall be supplied in accordance with Appendix ill-B of the Uniform Fire Code. (3) Fire sprinkler systems shall be installed according to Article 10 of the California Fire Code and the appropriate standards and guides adopted in Chapter 35 of the California Building Code and the California Electrical Code. (4) All valves controlling the water supply for automatic fire sprinkler systems and water-flow switches shall be monitored in accordance with Section 904.3.1 of the California Fire Code. (5) Fire department access roads shall be in accordance with Section 902.2 of the California Fire Code and the standards adopted by the San Joaquin County Fire Chiefs Association. (6) Fire department access to buildings shall be in accordance with Section 902.4. A knox box shall be installed according to fire department instructions. (7) ' Fire extinguishers shall be installed in accordance with the Califomia Fire Code, Volume 2, Standard 10-1. (8) Fire permits may be required prior to occupancy to conduct operations hazardous to life or property (California Fire Code Section 105.2.1). (9) Mechanical refrigeration systems shall comply with all applicable codes (ammonia, etc.). 2. [DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS: (Staff Contact. Gabe Karam, 468-3000) a.
