Nitrate Loading Study dated June 24, 1999, and has <br /> found it acceptable subject to the following conditions: <br /> 1. The assumption within this study that the direction of the subsurface water flow is <br /> Northeast to West maybe correct. <br /> 2. The 3 proposed Monitoring Wells and their locations are sufficient to begin <br /> monitoring the ground water for nitrate contamination. <br /> 3. Installation of 3 Monitoring Wells will be.required at a minimum (preferably more), <br /> as noted in your study- <br /> One placed up gradient for background readings <br /> w <br /> One 50-feet down gradient from the Mound System for monitoring increased <br /> Nitrate levels generated form this system. <br /> The third Monitoring Well placed at 1,000 feet down gradient for determination <br /> of the over all impact of Mound System on the ground water quality. <br /> The installation of these monitoring wells will need to be done under permit with <br /> this Division. <br /> A Division of San Joaquin Couniv Health Care.$ervices <br /> -.
