Earnest F. Smith
Civil Engineers
5355 Solari Ranch Rd.
Stockton, Ca. 95215
July 1, 1999
Re: Soil Suitability Study
Project: MS 95-9
Subject: Percolation Testing (PN 19417)
On July 1, 1999 percolation test was begun on subject parcel.
The situs address is 10750 E. Jahant Rd., Acampo, Ca. A 5 acre parcel was created
in 1995 upon approval of the Tentative Map.
Several exploratory holes were dug with hand auger, power auger and finally with a
truck mounted drill rig.
Mr. Ted Norgard, R.E.H.S., Environmental Health Division, was present for the critical
readings. The testing was conducted in accordance with the Division's percolation test
procedure.
The test hole was drilled on June 23, 1999 using a 6" truck mounted auger. An additional 25'
hole was drilled for a soil profile. A sandy layer was encountered at a depth of approximately
7 feet.
The test results are shown on Form EH 05 11 9/84(90) and indicate the soil by selection is
conducive to percolation of clear sewage effluent.
A copy of this letter will be included in the Soil Suitability Study.
Earnest F. Smith
Civil Engineer
may:Mark Stephens
