The 5 acre parcels as shown on the Tentative Map should provide adq terea for disposal of
the clear effluent from the on site septic systems. Soil strata to 10' is S1SdCl. The top 18 to 24" is
slightly darker than the tan layer to 10'. If a sigve analysis wP*a" llcted.the area at 36-38"
would prgbably be a layer of silty clayey sand. The material at this depth,as excavated was non-
plastic as examined in the field.
PERCOLATION TESTING
The percolation testing was conducted by Earnest F. Smith& Associates. The holes were drilled
(shallow)and sleeved with 4" PVC and approximately 2" of 1/4" gravel was placed in the bottom
of the hole. The procedure complies with the req uirementso e nvironmental Health
Department of San Joaquin County. The field percolation test data reports are included. Mr. Ted
Tasiopoulous, E.H.S.,was present for the required readings.
RECORD OF REPAIRS
A review of repairs of records at the EHD office indicate six repairs in the vicinity of the
intersection of Jack Tone Road and E. Jahant Road. The typical repair was add one 40' leach line
and one 25' pit. One of the repairs installed a 60' leach line and one 48" x 25'pit.
CONCLUSION
There were four holes tested. Two on each parcel. All test holes passed the percolation tests. The
inspector witnessed one test hole on each parcel. The vacant parcel requires a 6,000 SF leach
field. The test hole was approximately 165' from the south ROW of E. Jahant Road and in the
approximate center of the vacant parcel. All data, including past performance records, indicates
the soil will support a single family residence when the on-site septic system is constructed in
accordance with the current standards and ordinances of the EHD of San Joaquin County. The
OSI Biotube Effluent Filter(or equal) is recommended to be installed by the contractor in a 1600
gallon, two compartment tank. No warranty can be expressed/implied by this report. Excessive
use of a garbage disposal can require pumping of the septic tank at earlier stages than normal. The
homeowner has no indicators telling him when it is time to pump, thus the importance of the filter
and the availability of an inspection procedure thru the riser which is installed to grade. A User
Manual (copy inclosed)is fiunished to our client, which may or may not reach the future
homeowner.
APPENDIX:
"N'-Assessor Parcel Map
"B"-USGS Map, Lockeford, Ca.
"C"- Property Detail,Assessor
z/o
