Other requirements may also apply. These requirements cannot be modified. A. Environmental Health Department requires a Soil Suitability Study incorporating proposed number of employees, indicating that the area is suitable for septic tank usage. This must be performed prior to issuance of a building permit(s) (San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9-1105.2(d)). A review fee of$178.00 must be paid at time of submittal to Environmental Health Department. The sewage disposal system shall comply with the on site sewage standards of San Joaquin County prior to approval. A percolation test that meets absorption rates of the manual of septic tank practice or E.P.A. Design Manual for onsite wastewater treatment and disposal system is required for each parcel. A permit fee of$89.00 per percolation hole is required. B. The existing private water wells shall be tested for the chemical Dibromochloropropane (DBCP) and nitrates prior to issuance of building permit(s). Samples are to be taken and analyzed by a State-approved laboratory. (San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9-1115.7). C. The well must be repaired under permit and inspection by the Environmental Health Department (San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9-1115.4(e))by installing a sanitary seal. D. At the time of development, construction of individual sewage-disposal-system(s) under permit and inspection by the Environmental Health Department is required based on the findings of the Soil Suitability Study(San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9- 1110.3 & 9-1110.4).
