GP-92-5 AND
ZONE RECLASSIFICATION APPLICATION NO. ZR-92-5
OF MAX AND JOAN LEE (C/O ROBERT CELUM)
----------------------------------------------------------------
The Development Services Division has reviewed the proposed
General Plan Text Amendment to increase agricultural densities
from 1-16 to 1-32 dwelling units per 160 gross acres and the
proposed Zone Reclassification to rezone 36. 87 acres from AG-40
(General Agriculture, 40-acre minimum) to AL-5 (Limited
Agriculture, 5-acre minimum) , and will be recommending that the
Planning Commission recommend that both be approved by the Board
of Supervisors.
The purpose of the AL zone is to recognize and preserve areas
that contain existing concentrations of small-scale agricultural
operations and dwellings. The subject site is within a larger
area with numerous five-acre parcels. Rezoning this site would
permit only a limited number of new five-acre parcels to be
created (approximately 7) , and would be in keeping with the
existing development in the area.
RL:KS:ss
G: \SONIA\MEMO.GP
