-.i M KLEINFELDER
Response: Please refer to page 2, item 3 of the referenced report. There was an
absence of SJCEHD septic permits on file for the subject property or those parcels
adjacent to the property. According to Mr. Bokisch, there are no septic systems on the
subject property and he has no knowledge of any repairs needed on septic systems in
the immediate project area. Based on the lack of permits on file, either any existing
unpermitted septic systems in the project area are performing well with no repairs
required or there are few/no septic systems on the adjacent parcels.
3.5vl General area septic permit history (number/types/dates of permits, age of system,
permit numbers, copies in report).
SJCEHD comments: Include discussion in addendum.
Response: Please refer to page 2, item 3 of the referenced report. Due to the lack of
septic permits on file for the adjacent parcels, the septic permit history of the general
area is unknown to our firm at this time.
3.6 Discussion of general area septic tank repair history.
SJEHD comments: Include discussion in addendum.
Response: Please refer to page 2, item 3 of the referenced report. As previously
mentioned in subsections of this letter, general area septic tank repair history is
unknown to us at this time due to the lack of SJCEHD septic permits on file. We
assume either existing unpermitted septic systems in the project area are performing
1/ well with no repairs required or there are few/no septic systems on the adjacent parcels.
3.7 Description of proposed or expected maximum (including second unit dwellings)
septic tank usage on site.
SJEHD comments: Include discussion in addendum.
Response: Please refer to page 5, variable "A"of the referenced report. A maximum of
two dwelling units per proposed parcel are anticipated (8 dwelling units maximum for
the entire project).
4.3" Description of location (address/APN), type and construction of well and location
(well head/kitchen tap) where water samples were obtained.
SJEHD comments: Include discussion in addendum.
Response: The water sample was taken from the head of an agricultural well located on
Parcel 4, please see Plate 1 attached. There were no SJCEHD well permits on file for
37050.G01/STO4R303 March 3,2004
0 2004 Kleinfelder,Inc. Page 2 of 3
