Surface &Subsurface Contamination Report Page 8 <br /> Sandhu Project <br /> Project No. 597.1 <br /> February 12, 2009 <br /> { f <br /> and/or debris, including the number of drums/containers, size, estimated <br /> quantity, and a descriptionlidentification of the contents where possible. <br /> Task 2 <br /> A historical review was performed to evaluate previous ownership and land use <br /> including: <br /> • Local geology/hydrogeology; <br /> • Groundwater well inventory; <br /> • Groundwater use; <br /> • Interviews with appropriate local officials such as the fire marshal's office, <br /> town or city engineer's and assessor's office, etc.; <br /> • Review of information from town or city historical societies, libraries, etc.; <br /> and <br /> • Review of historical aerial photographs, Sanborn fire insurance maps, etc. <br /> Task 3 <br /> Environmental Data Resources, Inc. (EDR) was contracted to complete a search <br /> of electronic governmental environmental records for the Property and nearby <br /> areas within the ASTM-specified search radii. (See Section 3.1 for details.) The <br /> complete environmental database report is provided as Appendix D. <br /> The database search was supplemented with inquiries with appropriate <br /> regulatory agencies and municipalities regarding the Property, and to the extent <br /> practicable, adjacent properties. Inquiries were made with regulatory agencies <br /> with regard to basic environmental regulatory compliance issues for the subject <br /> Property. <br /> Task 4 <br /> Preliminary wetlands, asbestos, PCB, and radon gas reviews were performed <br /> based on observations of the site reconnaissance, property location, the age(s) of <br /> the buildings, building materials, discussions with the owner/tenant/operator <br /> and the local utility company, and the results of the database search described <br /> as Task 3. <br /> Task 5 <br /> The findings have been documented in this report, which includes our <br /> professional opinion as to the environmental disposition of the Property with <br /> regard to the presence of Recognized Environmental Conditions or other <br /> potential environmental concerns. <br /> 2937 Veneman Ave.,#B240 Geo-Phase Environmental Inc.
