As discussed last week at the meeting of the
Development Committee for this project, the issues are traffic
mitigation and the handling of hazardous materials . A copy of the
Initial Study is attached to this letter for your review.
To initiate the E. I .R. Notice of Preparation (N.O. P. ) process
please submit a check for $2 , 200. 00 within ten days of the date of
this letter. If the check is not received by the deadline, the
Development Services Division will consider the application to be
withdrawn. Following submittal of the check and completion of the
N. O. P . process, consultant selection will take place and the
preparation of the E. I .R. will begin.
As an alternative to preparing an E. I .R. , you may request that the
application be withdrawn (under the provisions of Section 9-10512
(attached) of the Planning Title) to allow you an opportunity to
have the traffic impact and hazardous material analyses prepared.
It will be your responsibility to contact the Department of Public
Works and the Environmental Health Division of Public Health
Services for their respective requirements, regarding who will
prepare the studies and the scope of the studies.
