4.6 Complete Chain of Custody document, including printed and signed name of third
party sampler, condition of sample and date and time the sample was submitted to the
lab. For Laboratory samplers, complete laboratory report to include the above noted
information: The complete chain of custody document is located in the Appendix.
5.0 SOIL PROFILE INFORMATION SECTION:
5.1 Site map showing location, with dimensions, of the soil profile pit on the parcel: See
Appendix.
5.2 Description of soil profile pit including depth and dimensions: The shallow test holes
were prepared per County Standards. The holes were excavated to a depth of 42 inches and
8 inches in diameter. They were backfilled with 2 inches of"pea gravel."
The deep hole was prepared per County Standards. Deep hole 1 was drilled to a depth of 25 feet.
A 2 inch diameter PVC pipe with open ends and slots was used to measure the drop of water in
the percolation test boring. Approximately 6 inches of"pea gravel' were placed in the bottom of
test boring; the PVC was installed on top of the gravel. Several feet of"pea gravel' were
backfilled in the annular space.
5.3 Description of soil lithology as noted from test pit by appropriate professional using
industry standard protocol: The soil in this area is classified as Kingdom fine sandy loam, San
Joaquin loam—thick surface, and Tokay fine sandy loam as stated in the Soil Survey of San
Joaquin County, California as provided by the United States Department of Agriculture, Soil
Conservation Service.
5.4 Discussion of soil lithology as related to future onsite septic uses: The Kingdom fine
sandy loam, San Joaquin loam—thick surface, and Tokay fine sandy loam have thus percolation
rates were different as demonstrated by the shallow perk results. (See Appendix).
6.0 PERCOLATION TEST INFORMATION SECTION
6.1 Site Map Showing the location, with concise and accurate dimensions of the percolation
test holes on the parcel: See Appendix.
6.2 The Minimum Number of Shallow and Deep Percolation Tests was Performed for Each
Parcel: Two shallow percolation test holes were prepared, one on each proposed parcel. One
deep hole was prepared due to failure of one of the shallow tests.
6.3 Description of the Date,Time and Protocol Used to Prepare the Test Hole, Including
Depth and Dimensions of Hole, Preparation of Hole, and Depth of Water Used to Presoak
(Minimum 12 Inches): The shallow test holes were excavated to a depth of 42 inches and
8 inches in diameter and backfilled with 2 inches of"pea gravel' in accordance with County
Standards.
3
c:104231Soil Report
