The water purged from the three deep irrigation/production wells will be discharged onto the ground. A total of three groundwater samples from the deep inigation/production wells will be submitted under chain-of-custody control to a State of California approved Iaboratory for the following analysis: • General Minerals by EPA Methods f The samples will be analyzed on a normal laboratory schedule requiring approximately two weeks (ten working days) for completion unless the optional rush analytical turnaround is requested by the client at an additional charge. SHALLOW WELL MONITORING The two shallow monitoring wells to be installed between the settling basin and the Delta Mendota Canal will be sounded on a quarterly basis by DSS personnel. DSS personnel will keep records of findings from these soundings s on a quarterly basis and notify Klemfelder ;f more than 6 inches of water is found in one or both of the two shallow monitoring wells. If significant amounts of water are noted in the two shallow monitoring wells, Kleinfelder will forward recommendations to DSS ih and CDD at DSS' request. Task E05 - Resorting Upon completion of the field activities, a'report of our observations and findings will be prepared. California law requires a person to inform the state if a situation is encountered that can be considered an immediate endangerment to the public's health or welfare and/or to the environment.
