05 November 2014
AGE Project No. 14-3119
6.0. PERCOLATION TEST INFORMATION
A percolation soil suitability test was performed on the site under EHD permit No.
SR70034 on one four-inch diameter soil boring established to a depth of three feet bsg.
6.1. SITE MAP
A site map showing the approximate location of percolation test hole is illustrated on
Figure 2. A precise description of the location and construction of the percolation test hole
is included in Appendix D (EHD form 42-03 07/22/2014).
The soil suitability study was conducted within 10-feet of the location of the proposed
church septic system leach Feld.
6.2. NUMBER OF PERCOLATION TESTS PERFORMED
One, shallow, percolation test was conducted on site. The normal percolation of the test
hole required the performance of a 24-hour percolation test, with four and one-half hour
observation time period.
6.3. CONSTRUCTION OF PERCOLATION TEST HOLE
On 21 July 2014, one boring was advanced for a shallow percolation test. The boring was
advanced using a four-inch hand auger to a depth of 36-inches bsg. The boring was
located more than 100 feet from the current well location and within 50 feet of the
proposed septic system location. Following bore hole advancement, the sides of the
boring were scraped and loose material was removed from the bore hole. Once the bore
hole was cleared of loose material and 2 inches of sand and/or gravel were added to the
bore hole. The bore hole was then filled with water to a depth of 12 inches above the
gravel at the time of 1200. Test hole was covered for 24 hours to allow for complete
saturation of the bore hole.
6.4. DESCRIPTION OF THE PERCOLATION TEST HOLE - POST SOAK
On 22 July 2014, the boring was found to be completely dry, but intact and in good
condition.
Advanced GeoCnvironmental,Inc.
