CHEMICAL AND PHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF SITE SOILS <br /> The local soil describes the dominant soil composition in the general area of the subject <br /> property based on information from the U. S. Department of Agriculture's Soil <br /> Conservation Service State Soil Geographic Database soil maps. The United States <br /> Department of Agriculture Soil Survey of San Joaquin County, California indicates the soil <br /> type for the subject property as caypay clay, 0 to 2 percent slopes (#107). The caypay <br /> clay has been denoted as shallow to 60 inches deep, percolates slowly. Permeability is <br /> slow in caypay clay and the soil has a high shrink-swell potential. Caypay clay soil typically <br /> has the same chemical properties between 0-60 inches bsg. The pH level ranges <br /> between 6.6 - 7.3 units with a salinity of less than 2.0. <br /> 7.2. MASS TRANSPORT PROPERTIES OF UNDERLYING SITE SOILS <br /> This shallow well-drained rich soil has a high available water-holding capacity. <br /> Additionally, three feet deep septic leach pits have been installed at the ends of the septic <br /> leach filed lines. The natural fertility of this soil lends it very well to sustainable farming <br /> practices. Permeability is slow, available water capacity is high and the shrink-swell <br /> potential is high. Septic leech fields should have an increased absorption field to <br /> overcome the slow permeability. <br /> 8.0. GROUND WATER ANALYSIS <br /> The subject property water supply well was sampled for nitrate analysis. The well is <br /> located on the central eastern portion of the parcel and access was granted by the <br /> property owner for sampling. <br /> 8.1. DESCRIPTION OF LOCAL GROUNDWATER <br /> The San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water Conservation District's Lines of Equal <br /> Depth to Ground Water Fall 2012 indicates the depth to ground water is 5 to 10 feet. <br /> Ground water is appears to flow to the northeast in the direction of the Old River. AGE <br /> performed a ground water query on the California Department of Water Resources <br /> (CDWR) Internet site, http:/twell.water.ca.gov. Based on the CDWR the current depth to <br /> ground water surrounding the subject property was 5 feet to 10 feet bsg. <br /> Based upon a record review conducted at EHD by an AGE representative depth to water <br /> was indicated on well permits for the surrounding area to be between 5-feet and 10-feet <br /> bsg. The wells on the adjacent properties were sealed to a depth of 50 feet at 11051 and <br /> 11157 East Larch Road. <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. <br />
