• SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> Introduction <br /> Live Oak GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (Live Oak) was contracted by Christina Armosino to <br /> conduct a Soil Suitability Study and Nitrate Loading Study for the property located at <br /> 16724 South Lawrence Road, Escalon, California (Plate 1). <br /> The Soil Suitability Study and Nitrate Loading Study are combined under this report <br /> cover and presented as two sections of this report. The formatting of the report has <br /> been designed to follow the recommendations of the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department as described in its Soil Suitability Study <br /> Requirements Checklist and Nitrate Loading Study Requirements Checklist. <br /> The Soil Suitability Study was conducted to determine whether the soils are suitable for <br /> use with a septic system. The study was performed according to the requirements of <br /> Section 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development code. <br /> Proposed Development <br /> Ms. Armosino proposes to construct a new four-bedroom house on the Site (Plate 2). <br /> • Site Description <br /> The Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) for the Site is 229-040-04. The Site is 2.43 acres <br /> in size and is located at 16724 South Lawrence Road, Escalon. <br /> The Site is currently vacant (Plate 3). Ms. Armosino indicated that a new well will be <br /> drilled to serve the house. <br /> The elevation of the Site, according to a United States Geological Survey topographic <br /> map, is approximately 98 to 100 feet above mean sea level. The Site is relatively flat <br /> (Plate 4). <br /> According to the San Joaquin County Community Development Department <br /> (www.co.san-joaquin.ca.us), the subject property is zoned AG-40, General Agriculture <br /> with a minimum parcel size of 40 acres. This zoning designation "is established to <br /> preserve agricultural lands for the continuation of commercial agriculture enterprises." <br /> Existing and Proposed Septic Tank Usage <br /> Existing Septic System <br /> No septic systems are currently located on the Site. <br /> LOGE 1901 Page 1 <br />
