• Past Uses of the Site <br /> Based on information reviewed for the Surface & Subsurface Contamination Report <br /> (Live Oak, 2016), the Site has been used for agriculture since 1940 or earlier and for / <br /> orchard and vineyard since 1975 or earlier. <br /> Existing and Proposed Septic Tank Usage <br /> Existing Septic System <br /> No septic systems are currently located on the Site. <br /> Proposed Septic System <br /> Mr. Gwerder indicated that a new home will be constructed on the proposed homesite <br /> parcel. <br /> On-Site Septic Permit History <br /> Live Oak searched the septic system_ ermits on file at the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department; no eptic permits were identified for the Site <br /> address. <br /> • Existing Septic Tank Usage in the Vicinity <br /> To estimate the existing septic system usage in the area, our office counted septic <br /> systems located within approximately one square mile surrounding the property. Aerial <br /> imagery from Google Earth was used. Each building cluster on the photograph was <br /> assumed to have one septic system. Using this method, it is estimated that 18 or more <br /> septic systems per square mile are present in the immediate vicinity of the Site. <br /> The general area consists of agricultural land, vineyards, and orchards with scattered <br /> rural residences along the roadways. <br /> Septic Permit History in the Vicinity <br /> Based on a review of septic permits on file at the San Joaquin County Environmental <br /> Health Department for nearby properties, it appears that the septic systems in the area <br /> utilize leach lines. The septic permits can be found in Appendix 4 of this report. <br /> Expected On-Site Maximum Septic Tank Usage <br /> Maximum expected septic usage on the Site would be from the proposed new home <br /> and a potential second dwelling unit on the homesite parcel. <br /> • <br /> LOGE 1626 Page 2 <br />
