Lehman Rd., Tracy, CA
13P-1100588
Dear Mr. Robertson,
Per your request, Live Oak Geo Environmental, Inc. (Live Oak) completed a percolation test for
the subject project. We understand you are constructing a new barn with a septic system on a
parcel approximately 33.7 acres in size. The address of the property is 29545 South Lehman
Road, Tracy. As a condition of the building permit, a percolation test is required.
E
One shallow percolation test was conducted on the Site. Percolation test procedures
conformed to San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department policy.
Soil Boring
On April 13, 2011, Live Oak excavated one shallow soil boring on the Site for the purpose of
conducting a percolation test. The boring was four inches in diameter, 3.4 feet deep, and was
excavated by hand auger. The soil in the boring was observed to be brown lean clay to the
maximum depth of the boring. The boring location is indicated on the attached plate.
Preparation and Presaturation of Percolation Test Hole
After the boring was advanced by hand auger, the test hole was completed for the percolation
test. Approximately one inch of pea gravel was placed in the bottom of the open soil boring,
followed by a 1.5-inch diameter PVC pipe with perforations on the bottom. Pea gravel was
then used to backfill a few inches of the annular space.
Live Oak presaturated the percolation test hole approximately 24 hours prior to the percolation
test. The hole was filled with water to a height of 12 inches above the bottom of the boring for
the presaturation. On the day of testing, the shallow hole was found to be intact and dry.
Environmental r• Engineering Geology •S Geophysics
