The
site is Parcel No. 4 of the Minor Subdivision Application No. PA 020055, consisting of 82.6
acres. The address of new Parcel No. 4 is unknown at this time. The address of the original
undivided parcel is 18333 East Liberty Road, Acampo, California.
Five(5)percolation tests have been performed on Parcel No. 4 by our office as part of a
Soil Suitability Study for the subject minor subdivision. Three(3) percolation tests were
performed within the proposed area of the SDU disposal field. The other two (2) percolation
tests were performed within an area for the main residence primary septic disposal field. Due to
the slow percolation rates encountered in the area, an engineered septic system design was
provided for the primary residence. The engineered system for the primary residence was
required to be doubled in size by San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department.
We understand that you met with an inspector at the counter of San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department, Stockton,to discuss the requirements for a septic system for
the SDU. One of the options provided to you by the front counter of the Health Department was
an engineered septic system consisting of a minimum of three(3) 95-foot leach lines with
seepage pits. You have indicated that an engineered septic system design is your preference.
This letter provides the calculations and system drawings for an engineered septic system for the
SDU which will be composed of two (2)bedrooms.
I. Percolation Tests
A total of five(5)percolation tests had been conducted near the proposed home site and
SDU site as part of the Soil Suitability Study dated May 21, 2002. The depths of the percolation
test holes ranged between 3 to 14.5 feet. As mentioned previously, three(3)percolation test holes
were tested in an area which is now the location of the proposed SDU disposal field. Two
