ZR-93-5 OF MINNIE
MEHRTEN, ET AL (CIO DILLON & MURPHY) (DISTRICT 4)
IT IS RECOMMENDED:
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Approve the Negative Declaration; and
2. Approve Zone Reclassification No. ZR-93-5 based upon the 'Bases for Recommendation'
contained in the staff report.
BACKGROUND:
The 5.11 acre site has been zoned and used commercially for many years. With implementation of the
2010 General Plan and Zoning, the site was designated General Agriculture with a consistent
implementing zone of C-X (Crossroads Commercial). Currently, the site has boat storage, boat repair,
and some minor sales of beverages and fishing tackle.
REASON FOR RECOMMENDATION:
The applicant is proposing a Zone Reclassification of one acre from AG-80 (General Agriculture) to C-X
(Crossroads Commercial) to enlarge the existing C-X area to 6.11 acres. The underlying projects are a
lot line adjustment, a mobile home residence, and expansion of the current boat storage facilities.
This proposal satisfies Commercial Development policies,Agricultural Lands policies, and implementation
No. 14, Reclassifications, of the General Plan. No significant issues have been identified.
The Planning Commission heard this matter at its regularly scheduled meeting of October 7, 1993. At the
meeting, Cecil Dillon, representing the applicant, spoke in favor of the project. No one spoke in
opposition. After considering all written and oral testimony, the Commission voted 7-0 to make the above-
listed recommendation.
