Gau
Senior Civil Engineer
Development Services/
Engineering Division
SUBJECT: MS-92-175
-----------------------------------------------------------------
On June 4th I met with Dan Schack, Tom Iwamiya and Jim Miller
regarding the above reference Minor Subdivision Application. The
purpose of the meeting was to give an indication to Dan. The
type of information that we would be looking for if Mrs. Lindley
followed through with submitting master plans for circulation,
traffic circulation, drainage and water supply.
Relative to traffic circulation we indicated to Dan that the
entire triangular area south of the railroad tracks should be
looked at for traffic circulation that there should not be a
problem bridging the Banta Carbona Irrigation District canal with
some type of box culvert or a bridge structure. It was also
indicated to him that the Planning Commission has expressed their
concern that development for this area should include more than
just a series of cul-de-sacs. Indications from the Planning
Commissioners are that there should be through access and
circulation.
Relative to storm drainage the discussion with Dan indicated that
the facility plan would only have to look at the area south of
the railroad tracks and west of the Banta Carbona Irrigation
District ' s canal. One of the concepts discussed was a pond that
would run along the railroad tracks and that perhaps this
property would be included as a portion of this ultimate pond.
