i
November 3, 2005
NOA Project Number: E05123A
6.8 Discussion of Septic System Sizing
Septic system construction should follow the San Joaquin County On-Site Wastewater Disposal
Standards where applicable.
{– 7.0 CONCLUSIONS
r
In summary, the ro osed se tic area a ears suitable for an en eered se tics stem ince the
PP P Pp J p Y ____Y._ —
_percolation rates failed to meet EH_D minimum standards. We recommend a Civil Engineer prepare
a septic system design-for the proposed parcel unless additional percolation testing, performed
under EHD oversight, achieves a satisfactory rate. Our office has been contracted by the client to
prepare engineered septic system drawings for the property, they will follow this report shortly.
No ground water was encountered in an of the borings drilled on the property. The depth to
gr Y g
ground water was found to be approximately 90 to 100 feet below the ground surface for the period
of Fall 1998 and Spring 1999 based on the San Joaquin County Ground Water Maps. The on-site
water well was-116sted-for nitrate and DBCP. DBCP was non-detectable in the water sample. Nitrate
was found at113.9 mg/L-NO3,below the MCL of 45 mg/L-NO3.
8.0 LIMITATIONS
The conclusions of this report are based on the information provided regarding the existing and
proposed development, the use of the subject property, and the site conditions as they existed at the
time we excavated our test holes and performed the percolation tests. It was assumed that the test
holes and percolation test results are representative of the subsurface conditions in the general area.
Our professional services were performed, our findings obtained, and our conclusions proposed in
accordance with generally accepted engineering principles and practices. This warranty is in lieu of
all other warranties either expressed or implied. Test findings and statements of professional
opinion do not constitute a guarantee or warranty, expressed or implied.
NEIL O.ANDERSON&ASSOC., INC.
F
U N ncy Ros ek, B.A. David J.
