v
NIXON/LOVATO PROPERTY
Page No. 4
appendix. The percolation rates have been adjusted to account for
the gravel and pipe backfill. Calculations for adjustments are on
the test data sheets.
A summary of the test results is presented next:
Diameter of Depth of
Test No. Hole (in. ) Hole (ft. ) Percolation Rate (min/in)
PT-1 4. 5 18.0 4. 4
PT-2 4. 5 22.0 6.2
VII CONCLUSION
Based on the results of the percolation tests, the soil
profile, and the performance of the septic systems in the area, it '
is our opinion that the homesites resulting from the proposed
parcel split should be suitable for use of on site sewage disposal
systems. Recommended systems should include both shallow leach
lines and dry wells. It is also recommended that grading be
performed to provide positive drainage away from proposed leach
fields to prevent trapped subsurface water from building up in the
leach field area during the winter. Any proposed system should be
properly designed and installed according to current San Joaquin
County criteria.
Based on the depth to ground water in the area, and the size
of the proposed parcels, it is our opinion that the installation of
the proposed septic system, if properly installed, should not
adversely affect the quality of the ground water in the area.
VIII LIMITATIONS
The conclusions of this report are based on the information
provided regarding the existing and proposed development, the use
of the subject property, and the site conditions as they existed at
the time we excavated our test holes and performed the percolation
tests. It was assumed that the test holes and percolation tests
results are representative of the subsurface conditions in the
general area.
Our professional services were performed, our findings
obtained, and our conclusions proposed in accordance with generally
accepted engineering principles and practices.
