R5-2003-0106 <br /> OLDE LOCKFORD WINERY, COPPERFORD, LLC, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> Regional Board staff has reviewed your 10 March 2004 Report of Waste Discharge(RWD) and <br /> additional information for coverage under Resolution R5-2003-0106, Waiver of Waste Discharge <br /> Requirements for Small Food Processors, Including Wineries, Within the Central Valley Region. The <br /> RWD included a$872 filing fee. Our review finds the RWD to be complete. <br /> As you are aware, on 11 July 2003,the Regional Board rescinded General WDR Order No. R5-2003- <br /> 0029 and adopted Resolution No R5-2003-0106 (a copy of which is enclosed). Resolution No. R5- <br /> 2003-0106 is a conditional waiver of waste discharge requirements for small food processors including <br /> wineries. Based on the information you have submitted, the discharge as described in the RWD satisfies <br /> the general and specific conditions of Resolution No. R5-2003-0106 for the current amount of grapes <br /> crushed and wastewater produced. <br /> Discharge Description <br /> Copperford, LLC owns and operates Olde Lockeford Winery at 12470 Locke Road in Lockeford, San <br /> Joaquin County. The Discharger leases space at the winery to several small wine producers. The current <br /> tenants at the facility are: <br /> Boitano Enterprise,Inc. KitFox Vineyards Round Valley Ranches <br /> Cantiga Wine Works Kreig's Kellar Vino con Brio <br /> DK Cellars Leonardo Fancily Vineyards Watts Family Winery <br /> J. Pahl Rosilez Winery Mac Management Wiens Cellars <br /> Joseph Narcizo Wines Macchia Olde Lockeford Winery <br /> In 2003, approximately 820 tons of grapes were crushed and 124,000 gallons of wine was produced at <br /> the facility. It is anticipated that in the future, less than 500 tons of grapes per year will be crushed and <br /> processed at the facility. Stormwater from the developed production area is directed to a stormwater <br /> retention pond,which is regulated under State Board Order No. 97-03-DWQ, the General Permit for <br /> Industrial Stormwater Discharge.
