They will provide a grading and excavation plan. <br /> Mr. Dalton said that the Community Development Building Department will require an <br /> evaluation of the existing fire station sprinkler system by a Licensed Fire Protection <br /> Engineer to insure that it is adequate to provide the coverage for the new occupancy. <br /> Mr. Van Buren explained the process of the Use Permit to the applicants.. <br /> Mr. Dalton explained how to obtain a temporary occupancy permit. <br /> Mr. Littlefield and Mr. Van Buren discussed the parking requirements. <br /> Mr. Van Buren and applicants discussed landscaping. Mr. Van Buren asked the <br /> applicants if they plan to obtaining the railroad right of way. <br /> Mr. Van Buren indicated on the plan where the screening should take place. <br /> Mr. Van Buren said that if the applicants were to use fencing it would need to be solid. <br /> Mr. Littlefield asked if they could use solid concrete blocks for screening. <br /> Mr. Van Buren said that he would look at the blocks and have building department <br /> evaluate them. Ms. Kellogg asked about the screening of the trash area. Mr. Van <br /> Buren said the trash area needs to be screened, and the outside storage areas need to <br /> be screened. Mr. Van Buren said he would read the ordinance, but to his knowledge <br /> slats are not allowed. Mr. Van Buren added that a chain link fence and landscaping <br /> might be adequate. <br /> Mr. Van Buren said that he would get a copy of the landscape ordinance for the <br /> applicants. <br /> Mr. Borges suggested that the applicants contact Eric Trevena regarding State <br /> Environmental Health requirements. <br /> Mr. Van Bruen passed out Caltrans conditions. Mr. Herum indicated that the applicants <br /> were concerned regarding the left turn pocket. Mr. Herum added that he doesn't believe <br /> that there is enough room in the Caltrans right of way to install a left turn pocket. <br /> Mr. Karam said that he had just received information on the Caltrans issue.
