Feb. 5. 2003 7:38PM CA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION No-0724 P. 3/4
2
Addressee
Date
Page 2
4. The proposed expansion may be within the ultimate Right of Way for SR 88 at this
location, having minimum set back and/or dedication requirements.
5. Traffic impact fees should be collected toward future improvements at SR 88/Locke
Road intersection.
Hydraulics:
The proposed project may have an adverse effect on the highway drainage system: therefore
highway drainage will need to addressed in the Intergovernmental Review or Encroachment
Permit process. Complete on-site drainage and grading plans need to be submitted, noting
the all of the existing highway drainage system in the ajacent state right of way. Unless
there is a compelling reason, on-site drainage will not be allowed to drain into the state
highway drainage system, therefore, on-site drainage will need to be handled on-site-
Environmental:
There may be possible impacts on storm and non-storm water drainage from the
development of this site, Caltrans is looking forward to reviewing the draft document for
this project.
If additional impacts occur during construction and/or if Traffic Impact
Studics/Models required work to be done on any State Route, an
Encroachment Permit may be required. Fair share money for work may
include funds for environmental work and/or mitigation.
The use of California State highways for other than normal transportation
purposes may require written authorization from Caltrans in the form of an
encroachment permit. The application must include the environmental
document prepared for the project that addresses Caltrans right of way.At a
minimum, documentation of cultural, biological, and hazardous waste
studies within Caltrans right of way is required.
If right of way is being dedicated to Cahrans, the applicant is required to
submit a copy of Attachment A, confirming that the land to be dedicated to
Caltrans is free of hazardous waste. Even if right of way is not being
dedicated, it is a goal practice to conduct a record search to obtain known
hazardous waste locations.
'Co((r¢rti urtprnry mnhili(Y aa'rnxr.Cahfnrn.'
