LONE TREE ROAD <br /> ESCALON, CALIFORNIA <br /> _ <br /> Dear Mr. Woltjer: <br /> Please review the enclosed scope of work for a Phase I Environmental Site <br /> Assessment (ESA) of the subject property. Kleinfelder's scope of work will be <br /> completed in accordance with the ASTM E1527-00 "Standard Practice for <br /> Environmental Assessments: Phase I Environmental Site Assessment Process" <br /> requirements unless directed otherwise by Mr. Larry Woltjer. It is our understanding <br /> that the subject property is located southeast of the intersection of Lone Tree and <br /> Carrolton Roads in Escalon, California. The subject property is approximately 410- <br /> acres and is currently agricultural land, with a dairy in the eastern portion of the <br /> property. Lone Tree Creek trends through the property and a dairy treatment pond is <br /> located in the center of the property. <br /> Pertinent information obtained during the project will be verbally reported prior to the <br /> final report of findings. A final report will include results, discussions of concerns, and <br /> recommendations for additional work, if needed. The proposed scope of work can be <br /> completed for an expedited fee of $5,500 on a lump sum basis and will be completed 4 <br /> to 6 weeks from the date we receive written authorization to proceed. The length of <br /> time required to complete the Phase I is dependent upon how long it takes local <br /> regulatory agencies to process our requests for information. Our estimated completion <br /> time is based on our current workload and our experience with local agency response <br /> times in the project area. <br /> _ <br /> If our research indicates that additional investigation or sampling and analysis are <br /> recommended, a separate scope of work, budget, and schedule will be submitted for <br /> your approval. A Phase I ESA does not typically include sampling and analysis. Other <br /> services can be provided to further understand the site conditions.
